About the Builder: Fred Scheer
"A Cabin in Hayward" Owner
Born and raised in Hayward, Wisconsin, Fred Scheer has been a business owner in the Hayward community since 1981 when he and his brother established Scheer’s Lumberjack Shows. Mr. Scheer’s building experience began with the construction of the Lumberjack Village shops and offices in the mid 1980’s.
In 2000 Fred Scheer founded his own construction
company and specialized in building single family homes with a distinct
rustic northwoods style. By incorporating elements of the area landscape
into the interior details of homes and situating structures in harmony
with their surroundings, Mr. Scheer has distinguished himself from other
builders in the Hayward area.
Operating as “Up North Retreats Construction” Fred Scheer has built 26 homes in the past eight years. His team of local sub-contractors is comprised of skilled craftsmen, many of whom have been his friends and acquaintances for more than twenty years. Fred lives in The Brook, one of his “northwoods neighborhoods.” His permanent residence in the Hayward area guarantees that he will be present to service his clients for as long as they own their homes.
